Non-medical, person-centred support

Support built around real routines

The right support should make daily life feel steadier, not more complicated. Avelora Life begins by understanding the person's routines, goals, communication preferences, safety considerations and family needs. Support may include caregiver relief, companionship, daily-living assistance, appointments and meaningful community participation. Availability is confirmed after a conversation about location, schedule, staffing, funding pathway and service fit.

Companionship and daily living

Consistent conversation, shared activities, help with daily routines, and time in the community for adults who would benefit from more connection.

What support can look like

Good support should fit the person's life, not the other way around. Here is what that can look like during an ordinary week.

Planned respite — reliable time for a caregiver to work, rest, or manage other responsibilities while an agreed routine continues.

Daily routines — meal preparation, reminders, light household tasks, and getting ready for appointments, agreed in advance.

Appointments and community participation — help preparing for and taking part in suitable appointments, recreation, shopping, or social activities.

Companionship — consistent conversation and shared activities that build connection during the week.

Avelora Life provides non-medical support. It does not replace emergency services, nursing, diagnosis, treatment, therapy, or other regulated healthcare. Call 911 in an emergency.

How getting started works

Getting started is simple. Most families move through a short conversation, a look at daily routines and goals, and a plan built around what actually helps.

Consultation — a conversation about routines, goals, schedule and funding pathway.

Needs review — we look at location, schedule, safety considerations and service fit.

Plan and matching — we outline a practical support plan and discuss staff matching where relevant.

Support start — the agreed support begins, with schedule and scope confirmed in advance.

Funding pathways

Support may be funded, privately paid, or a mix of both. We help identify which pathway fits, without promising eligibility or approval.

FSCD — Family Support for Children with Disabilities, for eligible families in Alberta.

PDD or Family Managed Services — funding pathways for eligible adults, confirmed individually.

Private pay — a flexible option when funded programs are not in place or do not cover a service.

Eligible CDHCI arrangements — funding routed through approved family-managed or agency-based options.

Thoughtful matching — we consider fit, not just availability, where staffing allows.

Accountable scope — support stays within what was agreed, with room to revisit as needs change.
